10CM will sing the ending theme for a live-action drama based on works by Japanese horror manga artist Junji Ito. The key point commonly confirmed across reports is that 10CM will release the digital single "The Darkest Night" at noon on July 22, and that the song will be used as the ending theme for the live-action omnibus drama "Strange: Junji Ito's Sleepless Strange Stories."

10CM will release the new digital single "The Darkest Night" through major online music platforms at noon on July 22. The song has been introduced as the official ending theme for the live-action drama series "Strange: Junji Ito's Sleepless Strange Stories," which is based on original works by Junji Ito.

Junji Ito is a Japanese horror manga artist known for works such as "Tomie" and "Uzumaki." His stories are characterized by the way they reveal characters' psychology through anxiety and strange incidents seeping into ordinary spaces. The new drama is also an omnibus series based on representative short stories, dealing with moments where daily life and fear meet. 10CM's participation is meaningful not simply as OST singing, but as an attempt to translate the original works' mood into music.

According to reports, "The Darkest Night" is an acoustic ballad in which 10CM participated directly in the lyrics and composition. The song centers on the confusion, loneliness and shaken emotions experienced by characters in the work. Rather than placing horror itself at the forefront, it uses a calm melody and vocal delivery to express the desire not to let go of hope even in darkness. This connects with the delicate emotional lines 10CM has shown in acoustic-based music.

The fact that the song is placed at the ending of the drama is also worth noting. An ending theme organizes the emotion of each episode and leaves a lingering mood before the next story begins. In horror, it is important not only to sustain tension but also to resolve the loneliness and anxiety of the characters. "The Darkest Night" is expected to serve as a musical complement to the drama's atmosphere at that point.

Platform release schedules are described somewhat differently across reports. Within the currently confirmed scope, the drama is airing in Korea through Channel J and will also be released sequentially through KT Genie TV, Studio Choice, Skylife and Watcha. Some reports also mentioned a mid-September release through LG U+tv and Wavve, and an HBO Max release near the end of the year. However, detailed regional release schedules should be checked again through platform notices.

10CM is also scheduled to release a live clip in time with the single's release date. A special music video using scenes from the drama has also been previewed, meaning the song will be introduced through both audio and video content. What is currently confirmed is that "The Darkest Night" will be used as the ending theme for the Junji Ito live-action drama, and that 10CM participated in both singing and the creative process.
