HEART OF WOMAN Expands HOW Universe With Music Video Relay for B-Sides
HEART OF WOMAN released music videos for Skit.exe, Dalla and Close To Me after Lost in Proof, expanding their HOW Universe with varied visual concepts.
HEART OF WOMAN is continuing the momentum of its debut album activities through music videos for its B-side tracks. After the title track "Lost in Proof," the group sequentially released music videos for "Skit.exe," "Dalla" and "Close To Me," expanding the so-called "HOW Universe" through visual content.
HEART OF WOMAN is widening the narrative of its debut album through a relay of B-side music videos. According to reports on July 14, the group released music videos for "Skit.exe," "Dalla" and "Close To Me" after the title track "Lost in Proof." The key point commonly confirmed across multiple articles is that the group has not limited its activity to a single title track, but has instead assigned separate videos and concepts to individual B-sides.
This flow is connected to the "HOW Universe" the group has presented. The HOW Universe has been introduced as a worldview that brings HEART OF WOMAN's music and visuals together into a single story. However, the full structure of that worldview and its long-term development have not yet been completely disclosed. What can be confirmed for now is that each B-side music video is expanding the album's atmosphere through different genres and visual languages.
The recently released "Close To Me" has been introduced as a song based on groovy bass and R&B sounds. According to reports, the track contains the emotion of moving forward again after parting from a dream, and it first drew attention through the band's live version on "it's Live" soon after the group's debut. The music video was filmed entirely on location in Los Angeles, using camcorder images and the texture of vintage lenses to capture the members' everyday moments and a youthful mood.
The previously released videos for "Skit.exe" and "Dalla" took different approaches. The music video for "Skit.exe" was reported to use iPhone shooting techniques and an urban backdrop to express a free energy that feels like spreading a message. "Dalla" centered on fantasy imagery in which desolate ruins transform into a jungle, while showing contrasting styling such as balletcore looks and street denim outfits. Some articles also mentioned the members' blonde transformations as a major visual point.
Producing separate music videos for B-sides requires considerable resources for a rookie group. At the same time, it prevents the album from being consumed only through one title track and encourages fans to follow the concept and narrative of each song. This also aligns with the recent K-pop trend in which B-side performance videos, live content and short-form videos are used as part of album activities.
Still, it is too early to make firm claims about the results at this stage. What has been released so far is the music video relay, the concepts of each song and some details about filming methods. How HEART OF WOMAN's HOW Universe will continue through fandom response and later activities will need to be confirmed through future stages and content.
