Lee Minhyuk Releases New Single TEMPERATURE, Turning Emotional Heat Into Music
BTOB member Lee Minhyuk, also known as HUTA, releases his new single album TEMPERATURE on July 15 at 6 p.m. KST, led by the title track Icy & Spicy.
BTOB member Lee Minhyuk, also known as HUTA, will release his new single album "TEMPERATURE" at 6 p.m. on July 15. The album interprets changes in emotion through the keyword of temperature, and consists of three tracks: the title song "Icy & Spicy," "KO" and "KO (Rush Ver.)." Lee Minhyuk is credited with writing and composing every track, once again presenting his direction as a solo artist.
Lee Minhyuk's solo comeback is closer to a moment of reaffirming the musical color he has built under the name HUTA than simply releasing a new song. According to multiple reports, the new single "TEMPERATURE" will be released through major online music platforms at 6 p.m. on July 15, with the music video for the title track "Icy & Spicy" arriving at the same time.
The central keyword of the album is temperature, as the title suggests. It contrasts a coldly maintained tension with gradually rising energy, using the moment when emotions shift as material for both music and performance. Lee Minhyuk was introduced as having participated in the lyrics and composition of every song on the album. This can be seen as an extension of his solo activity, in which he has been directly involved not only in vocals, rap and performance, but also in setting the musical direction.
The title track "Icy & Spicy" has been described as a song based on Afro house rhythm, with strong bass and brass sounds added. Reports explained that the song uses the speed of F1 racing and the attitude of a figure who remains composed in the heat of fierce competition as key images. As the title suggests, the simultaneous placement of coldness and heat shows the core concept of the single.
B-side track "KO" is known as a song that mixes the textures of rock and hip-hop, drawing motifs from UFC fighter Go Seok Hyun and the boxing term K.O. With its emphasis on challenge and competition, the track expands the album's energy in a different way from the title song. "KO (Rush Ver.)" is introduced as a version that further raises the speed and tension of the original, creating a shift in atmosphere within the album.
The single connects the two paths Lee Minhyuk has shown as both a BTOB member and a solo artist. The public recognition built through group activities and the performance-driven identity emphasized in his solo work meet within one release. However, the currently confirmed information is limited to the release time, track list, title track and music video release, and scope of production participation. Music results and future broadcast activities will need to be confirmed through official schedules and chart data after the album is released.
